Amazing Punjab Village Life

 

The village is situated in Punjab, Pakistan. The houses of village are very beautiful. These houses are made of mud. These are beautiful decorated with paint. The mud house is peaceful and beautiful. Beautiful flower are made of paint. The front side of house is beautiful paint. Here are some crops in front of this house. And some animals are tie under a tree. This is hand pump. This is used to pull water from earth. Waste water of this hand pump also irrigates the crop. This is the sugarcane crop.

 

 

There are very beautiful house. This is entrance of the house. Its boundary wall is decorated beautifully. This is store room. And also used as kitchen in winter season or rainy season. This is kitchen without a roof. This area also decorated with paint. This area is used to keep pots. These are two rooms and this is courtyard. All walls are decorated.

 

 

Kitchen beautiful view. This twig basket is used to keep pots for secure from animals. They put woven bed in this courtyard to sleep at night. Courtyard is unpaved. This old woman is roasting the chickpeas. She sells it to earn some money. She is now 100 years old but stills working to meet basic needs of the life.

This is old traditional method of irrigation. Still is being used in Punjab, Pakistan but now running out. Here water is at low level of land.

 

 

This wheel is moving the water from low level to that upward side. These bulls are spinning the wheel. This kind of well is made in desert for water because water source is limited in desert. The water in the well is flowing out of the ground automatically Well is very deep.

 

 

Locals is used this water for different purpose like for drinking, cloth washing, for bath etc.

This pot is made of rubber tier. This pot is tie with a rope and rope other corner is tie with iron wheel. This water is also used for drinking. This man is preparing the Hookah for his grandfather. Cotton crop is being grown in this field. Sunflower crop is near to ripe. It will take some days to complete. This crop is ready 10 to 15 days will take to ripe.

 

 

Some days the production of sunflower crop has been better this year as compared to last year  1000 kg to 1400 kg per acre.  We planted different types of sunflower seeds and all of them have good yields.  It will be ready to send to market in a few days.  Moisture is still in the flower.

 

How To Jaggery Making Process in Punjab

 

 

This is Persian wheel. Locals called it "Jatta" or "Jallar" or "Rabat," This is used to move water from down place to upward. The wheel has started its work. Water is moving with Persian wheel. Very beautiful view fields are irrigating with water.

How to make jaggery. In first process, juice is making from sugarcane. Sugarcane juice is obtaining after passing the sugarcane in the machine. After that, juice of sugarcane is shifted from here to that huge pot through the pipe. The juice is shifting by water pump.

Then this juice will be put into huge pot kept on fire. The juice is now completely shifted from there to here. Juice is now shifted to this pot. Juice will be cooked here on fire. Juice is shifting through pipe. The chemical is put into the juice for clear the juice from waste.

Why it used?

It used to clear the juice. Waste is cleaning from the juice. Peel of sugarcane is spread in sun light for dry. Then this dry peel is used to fire in this oven. The waste from juice is put here. Mustard oil is used in it. The juice has dried up considerably & beautiful color. The jaggery has dried but still hot. Very tasty jaggery is now ready to use.

The ground is being leveled with oxen. "Sawaga" is used to make fields leveled. Beautiful oxen pair. This is old tradition of Punjab (Pakistan). Sawaga is used for leveling the land after plough the fields. These are mustard's seed and oil will be extract now by traditional way. This machine called "Kollu will be run with ox.

This method of extracting oil was popular in past but now it is running out. Ox has start moving round for extracting oil. Weight has been put on the wood linked with oxen. Can you tell how many types of oil extracting here? Oil is extract from Seeds of Mustard Flax, rocket, Sesame. Henna and coriander.

We sprinkle some water on mustard seed. This traditional method of oil extracting is now running out from Punjab (Pakistan). This material (Mustard seed cake) called "Khal" is too hard.

This is used by mixing it in fodder of animals. It is like dry fruit for animal.
